Our Story

Maya’s Pottery began with one simple passion—bringing clay to life. Born in Mumbai and now thriving in Bengaluru, Maya discovered an instant bond with clay from childhood. Inspired by nature’s forms and patterns, she fell in love with pottery’s tactile mindfulness.

At Maya’s Pottery, we’re more than a studio—we're building a creative community. We seek to shift perceptions: in India, pottery hasn’t always been seen as modern, but through workshops and engagement, we’re reshaping pottery into a meaningful, mindful art form that encourages connection, exploration, and grown-up fun.

Meet the founder

Maya Menon is a Bengaluru‑based ceramic artist and the creative force behind Maya’s Pottery. Her journey began with a profound connection to clay—a material she discovered as a child and which soon became her meditation, her artistic language, and her path to community. Trained under skilled mentors both in India and abroad, Maya refines traditional techniques with playful, modern sensibilities—each piece reflecting her love for organic form, texture, and mindful expression.

After years of working in collaborative studio environments and teaching amateur potters, Maya founded Maya’s Pottery to create a space where art and connection meet. Through her workshops, she helps adults unwind through mindful throwing, encourages children to explore creative expression, and brings people together through thoughtfully designed couple and corporate experiences.

Maya’s work has been showcased at community galleries across India, and her studio is fast becoming a hub for creativity, calm, and connection in Bengaluru. With a firm belief that pottery is not only a craft but a catalyst for wellbeing, she continues to build a welcoming, inspiring ceramic community—one clay-covered hand at a time.
